Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Students, and Staff,

I am honored to continue serving as the principal of MS 319 - Maria Teresa Mirabal. As we begin another exciting school year, I want to take a moment to express my pride in our dedicated teachers, and staff, and enthusiastic students.

We are a dual language school that values the development of our students' native language while also mastering the English language acquisition. We achieve this through deep reading and engaging writing tasks, as well as immersing our students in real-life experiences that bring those tasks to life.

In addition to our language program, we are dedicated to developing the next generation of thinkers through our intense research, math, and science curriculum. We also nurture our students' intellectual side through our visual and performing arts, including music.

But it's not all about learning! We believe that the fun part is just as important. That's why we offer a variety of arts, sports, and even e-sports activities. During the 2023-2024 school year our volleyball team made it to the championship, our ARTS department was selected to perform at the United Palace and is putting on Matilda as a Broadway Jr production, our Gaming Club was selected to represent Manhattan in the Battle of the Boroughs, and this is just a few of the amazing things happening at the Mirabal Sisters Campus!
